Girl Scout Seniors and Ambassadors go for Gold and Change the World
It's the highest award a Girl Scout can receive. The Girl Scout Gold Award is presented only to those high achievers who demonstrate their ability to take on, and successfully complete, a project that can truly change the world.
Gold Award Girl Scouts have improved the lives of millions of people around the world. Their achievements range from rallying a community to clean a local waterway, introducing young girls to STEM, creating a program to teach swimming to underserved youth, to starting a shoe drive to help people in India go to school and work, among many others.

Just this year, Allesandra of Girl Scouts of Colorado started Project Generation Connection. It’s a way to provide the elderly in nursing homes with the opportunity to connect with family members and friends—across town or across the country—using videoconferencing (with assistance from volunteers if needed). What a heartwarming project!
Erica, of Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta, spent her senior year of high school putting together the Suit Up! Project designed to give homeless youth the skills, tools, clothing, and confidence to plan for their futures and market themselves in the job industry. Way to go!
As a mentor, Sarah from Girl Scouts of Central and Western Massachusetts, helped other students develop social and communication skills while also promoting their academic success. That led to her Gold Award project, Education and Application for Peer Mentors, which helps mentors better understand and help students with disabilities. Inspiring!
