The GSUSA Collection and Archive contains objects that reflect the history of the largest girl leadership development organization in the United States, serving as a window into the role and agency of girls and women in our country from the early 19th century to the present.
The collection spans centuries, genres, and styles, and includes corporate records, personal writings, media, scrapbooks, fine and decorative arts, farm and camp equipment, furnishings, textiles, sculptures, jewelry, international gifts, memorabilia, awards and recognitions, and Girl Scout uniforms, badges, and insignia, as well as personal letters and writings of Girl Scouts’ founder, Juliette Gordon Low, and Lou Henry Hoover, wife of 31st U.S. President Herbert Hoover and twice national president of Girl Scouts.
The GSUSA Collection and Archive is located at GSUSA sites in New York, New York (Manhattan headquarters); Edith Macy Conference Center in Westchester County, New York; and the Juliette Gordon Low Birthplace in Savannah, Georgia.
We are not accepting donations to the Collection and Archive at this time.
