Founders Scholarship
Award:
$1,000
Requirements:
- Be a registered member of the Girl Scouts of Central Texas council.
- Be a graduating senior.
- Actively participate in Girl Scouts.
- Demonstrate academic achievements.
- Register to attend a college, university, trade, or technical school for Fall 2025.

Emerald Circle Scholarship
Award:
$2,000 award
Several are awarded in both the Spring and Fall each year to a graduating Gold Award recipient. The quantity of awards vary on number of applicants.

Requirements:
Members of Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council who have earned their Gold Award and are planning to begin college the semester following their graduation are eligible to apply during their high school graduation year.

Two reference forms returned directly to the council (acceptable references include teachers, Girl Scout adults, community members, employers, and adult friends)
You can apply for all five scholarships, and only submit one set of required application materials. Note: Only one scholarship will be awarded to each applicant.
Requirements:
• Applicants must graduate in May/June of the current year, have a minimum 2.0 GPA, and plan to attend a college, trade, or technical school in the fall of current year.
• Applicants must have earned their Gold Award to apply for the Churchman, Hinkle, or Matthews scholarships.
• Scholarships will be made payable to your school upon proof of registration.
Grace Rocha Graduating Senior $500 Scholarship: Applicants must submit one 500-word essay describing their leadership experience and one 500-word essay describing “How Girl Scouting Has Influenced My Life.”
Janice Eleanor Hill Matthews Gold Award $ 1,000 Scholarship: Applicants must submit one 500-word essay that describes their Gold Award and one 500-word essay describing “How Girl Scouting Has Influenced My Life.”
