London Calling, Bonjour Paris: July 7–18, 2024

From theatre in London to macarons in Paris, explore the rich history, culture, and food of these dynamic, global cities. Plus, complete a community service project at Pax Lodge WAGGGS World Center.

About the Trip

This Destination will bring you to two of the most beloved cities in the world: London and Paris. From immersive experiences to seeing the top sights, get ready for iconic selfies and Girl Scout memories of a lifetime during this urban cultural adventure.

In London, see the city from above during a ride on the London Eye and from the water on a cruise along the Thames River.  Experience an interactive workshop at Shakespeare’s Global Theatre. We’ll see Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, Houses of Parliament, Tower Bridge, St. Paul's Cathedral, Windsor Castle, and more of what makes London great! We'll take in a West End Theatre performance and enjoy a classic fish & chips dinner. While in London, we'll spend a night at the Pax Lodge WAGGGS World Center, where we will work on a service project and connect with sister Girl Guides and Girl Scouts.

After four action-packed days in London, we'll take the Chunnel train to Paris and view Notre-Dame Cathedral, the Latin Quarter—home to the famous Sorbonne University, the Arc de Triomphe, Champs-Elyse, and, of course, the Eiffel Tower. We’ll take a Seine River cruise and visit the massive Louvre with its many treasures and the beautiful art of Musee d'Orsay.  A guided excursion introduces us to the over-the-top royal world of Versailles. And we'll enjoy a creperie dinner and indulge on macarons as part of our French experience.

Through an exploration of history, culture, and food of these cities, this Destination will kick-start your lifelong love of global travel and history.
