From savoring Italian cuisine to cruising the Greek isles, you’ll dive deep into the early history of Western civilization as you take in the ancient sites of Italy, Greece, and Turkey.

About the Trip

This two-week adventure will take you through two incredible countries and include a stop in Turkey. In Italy, we will start in Rome, visiting Vatican City and the Sistine Chapel, the ancient Colosseum, and more.  Our expert local guide in Florence will show us why the city is a UNESCO World Heritage Site as we walk through the historic city center to explore art, architecture, and Renaissance history.

We’ll hop on a night ferry from Italy to Greece, where we’ll visit a Meteora monastery— one of many monasteries suspended on giant sandstone rock pillars in the “middle of the sky”.  We’ll continue to Delphi and to Athens, where we will see the Olympic Stadium, the Acropolis, and more.

Next, we embark on a three-day cruise adventure of the Greek islands of Santorini, and Mykonos, plus Cesme, Turkey—where we visit the truly impressive ruins of Ancient Ephesus. We explore all three magnificent locales with included shore excursions as part of this amazing trip.
