World Center Volunteers

Have you ever dreamed of living abroad, immersing yourself in a foreign language or establishing a global network of friends and contacts? Are you friendly, open-minded, dedicated to service and adventurous? Do you possess a genuine love for people, sensitivity to others and commitment to the basic principles of Girl Scouting? If so, you may be just the sort of volunteer the World Centers want.

Volunteering at one of the World Centers in England, India, Mexico or Switzerland can help you make cross-cultural connections, develop new leadership skills, and cultivate international friendships that last a lifetime. Why is a volunteer experience different from visiting one of the World Centers? Says Sierra of California, who volunteered at Our Cabaña in 2002, "Nothing beats staying put. Each day you are able to go a little deeper. Your eyes open wider and wider. I love traveling around, but it's nice to go to a place and say, 'I have a good friend there.
