Director, Product Sales Operations

Summary of Position

The Director, Product Sales Operations is responsible for maximizing the programmatic and financial potential of Girl Scout product sale activities. The Director is the Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA) point person in collaborating with councils, vendors and other GSUSA teams to drive sales and income growth through program delivery. She/he plays a key role in developing strategies, planning and operational execution. She/he works with councils to implement the strategies developed by the Council CEO Task Group, and identifies and helps disseminate council best practices. She/he collaborates with councils and vendors to identify and prioritize opportunities that will enhance Product Sales based on the analysis of available data. The Director also provides on-site Product Sale consulting services to Girl Scout councils, as needed. In addition, she/he collaborates internally to improve the Product Sale programmatic value proposition and experience, driving greater girl participation and adult support.

Job Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in consumer product sales with experience in Girl Scout council sponsored product sales a plus; experience managing a sales force highly desirable

• Proven expertise in building and implementing strategies to increase top and bottom line performance

• Expertise and solid analytical and financial skills to develop product sales forecasts, plans, and budgets

• Demonstrated experience developing and overseeing administrative budgets

• Demonstrated experience developing external vendor relationships along with proven negotiation skills

• Demonstrated excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills

• Demonstrated leadership, teamwork and cross functional team experience with expertise in motivating individuals to achieve common goals

• Solid computer experience with emphasis in Microsoft Excel, Word, Project and Outlook

• Travel approximately 25 – 50 percent of the time, including day trips, overnight stays or weekends, as required

• Valid driver’s license required to drive to various geographic locations, as needed

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or finance or related field, or equivalent relevant experience
