Vice President, Marketing & Brand Management Summary of Position The Vice President, Marketing & Brand Management’s primary responsibility is to work on various projects to support the Communication and Marketing group in developing a brand for Girl Scouting and raising public awareness through media campaigns, promotions, affiliations and building brand loyalty. She/He assists the Senior Vice President, Marketing & Communications in establishing short-and-long-range marketing priorities for the organization, and in developing internal and external marketing briefs. She/He develops an organizational messaging architecture and competitive positioning, branding and image by being both hands on and delegating tasks to the marketing team to deliver collateral, website, events; public relations owning and driving a strategic campaign as well as strategically developing concepts to promote the organization. She/he will lead the strategic planning for the GSUSA’s brand including marketing, and brand management. She/He establishes goals and actions plans to support the organization’s brand and marketing objectives. Develops initiatives and executes cause-related marketing programs to drive brand enhancement and revenue generation for the organization. She/he collaborates with other departments and Girl Scout councils to ensure cohesive branding and support for all initiatives and marketing opportunities. Travel approximately 30% of the time. Job Qualifications Minimum 10+ years’ experience in interpreted marketing or brand management. 5 years’ experience on a strategic marketing level or external communications role with the responsibility of managing all elements of marketing. Proven management experience with supervisory responsibilities including experience with budgeting process, strategic and tactical planning, performance management, coaching and project management across multiple media platforms. Global perspective on branding and image management. Strong leadership, planning and exceptional project management skills. Demonstrated hands on experience with proven ability to multitask, handle pressure, and meet deadlines. High level Microsoft Office Suite skills (including Project Manager) required. Strategic thinker, highly organized and detail-oriented with collaborative work style. Team player and in synergy with other teams; leads and/or supports teams of experts in cause-related marketing. Excellent oral, written, verbal communication, interpersonal and presentation skills required. Proven training and facilitation skills. Visionary, able to think strategically and provide feedback on trends to move the organization forward. Bi-lingual a plus. Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, management, business administration or related area and/or equivalent relevant experience. Master degree in related area a plus.
