Our Strategic Priority
Substantially increase contributed income to fund a vibrant Girl Scout organization.

Funding and Philanthropy
Girls represent a significant percentage of the population at risk; very little philanthropy, however, is specifically targeted toward meeting girls' needs.

We want to change that.

Girl Scouts of the USA is working to create a funding culture that makes girls a national philanthropic priority.

And we're making progress:

  • Within the past year, several Girl Scout councils have implemented a major gift program and have strengthened their annual fundraising drive through the expansion of their donor lists.
  • The Girl Scouts Alumnae Association continues to identify and cultivate former girl members, providing them with a compelling case to support Girl Scouting.

More Champions
The Core Business Strategy already has many key supporters who’ve made a commitment to stay up-to-date on the strategy, and to be active and vocal leaders of its objectives.
