Outcomes Measurement Guide

Cover of Junior Girl Scout Group Experience and CD-ROM

Junior Girl Scout Group Experience: Outcomes Measurement Guide helps local Girl Scout councils answer the question: What effect has Girl Scouting had on Junior Girl Scouts? This comprehensive guide is a collaborative effort of Girl Scouts of the USA, SPEC Associates, Inc.(Social Program Evaluators and Consultants, Inc.), and several participating Girl Scout councils nationwide. It is the result of extensive development and pretesting involving the selected councils and is designed to be useful in assessment of the Junior Girl Scout program.

Intended to make outcomes measurement as user-friendly as possible, the guide is really two products in one.

The first part contains:

  • Step-by-step instructions on how to develop a study
  • All measures needed to conduct it

The last section includes:

  • Detailed data-entry and analysis instructions
  • Ready-to-use data-analysis CD

The guide is just one of several outcomes products developed by the Girl Scout Research Institute to assist local Girl Scout councils in measuring the benefits the Girl Scout program has for girls.

For more information about the research, email the Girl Scout Research Institute or call (800) GSUSA 4 U.
