2. World Trefoil Pin (WAGGGS pin)
The Word Trefoil Pin Shows that you are part of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS). All Girl Scouts wear this pin on the left side of the uniform directly above the Membership Pin on the Insignia Tab.
3. Leader in Training Pin
The Leader-In-Training Pin for ages 16 and up indicates completion of a council Leader-In-Training course in specific leadership skills. (Contact your local Girl Scout council for further information).
4. Counselor in Training Pin
The Counselor-in-Training Pin for ages 16 and up indicates completion of a council Counselor-in-Training course in specific leadership skills. (Contact your local Girl Scout council for further information).
5. Counselor in Training Pin II
The Counselor-In-Training II Pin for ages 17 and up replaces the Counselor-In-Training Pin when worn. The CIT II Pin signifies completion of the Counselor-In-Training II course. (Contact your local Girl Scout council for further information).
6. Girl Scout Gold Award Pin
The Girl Scout Gold Award Pin is the highest award for Girls 14-17 and signifies completion of a Gold Award project. (Contact your local Girl Scout council for further information).
7. Official Girl Scout Contemporary Membership Pin
This pin, worn by Girl Scout Juniors, Cadettes, Seniors, Ambassadors and Adults, signifies fulfillment of membership requirements. A Girl Scout can choose between this or the Traditional Membership Pin (09001). It is worn on the Insignia Tab on the left side of the uniform, centered above the heart. Safety Catch Pin.
8. Membership Numeral Guards
The numerals show the total number of years (not necessarily continuous or consecutive) of registered membership, both as a girl and an adult, in any Girl Scout/Girl Guide organization. Numeral Guards are attached to the Official Girl Scout Membership Pins (regular or miniature size), and are placed to the right of the pin on clothing or on the insignia tab. The five-year numeral guard replaces five membership stars: a ten-year guard replaces ten membership stars.
9. Ambassador Journey Award Pin

11. Leader in Training Award
The Leader-In-Training Award for ages 15 and up indicates completion of a required Leader-In-Training internship. Wear the Leader-in-Training (LIT) award directly above the Girl Scout Program Aide Award on the sash, above the Girl Scout Interest Project awards. Wear it on the left side of the vest as shown. (Contact your local Girl Scout council for further information).
12. Counselor in Training Award
The Counselor-in-Training Award for ages 16 and up recognizes completion of a required Counselor-in-Training internship. (Contact your local Girl Scout council for further information).
13. Girl Scout Senior Program Aide Award
The Girl Scout Senior Program Aide Award for Girls 14-17 recognizes completion of 25 hours of Program Aide service at the 14-17 age-level. This award for ages 14-17 has silver letters. Place these awards above the Girl Scout Interest Project awards on the insignia sash or on the left side of the uniform vest. They should be directly below the Leader-in-
Training (LIT) Award and Counselor-in-Training (CIT) Award. (Contact your local Girl Scout council for further information).
14. Girl Scout Cadette Program Aide Award
The Girl Scout Cadette Program Aide Award for Girls 11-14 recognizes completion of 25 hours of Program Aide service at the 11-14 age-level. This award for ages 11-14 has silver letters. Place these awards above the Girl Scout Interest Project awards on the insignia sash or on the left side of the uniform vest. They should be directly below the Leader-in-Training (LIT) Award and Counselor-in-Training (CIT) Award. (Contact your local Girl Scout council for further information).
15. Girl Scout Cookie Sale Activity Pin 2010
The sale pin is an earned award that is worn to show participation in the Girl Scout Cookie Sale after completing participation activities outlined in the Cookie Sale Activity Guide. Daisies: Place the pin(s) in a row directly beneath Troop Numerals on the tunic or vest.
Brownies: Place the pin(s) in a row above the Try-its on the sash or on the left side of the vest.
Juniors: Place the pin(s) directly above the Junior Girl Scout badges on the sash, or below the signs on the vest.

16. Cadette Journey Award Patch Set

17. Cadette Leadership in Action Award Patch (LIA)
Girl Scout Cadette WOW! Wonders of Water Leadership in Action Award Patch. This award is for mentoring Girl Scout Brownies. Iron-on diamond shaped patch with water drop design. Earned Award.
18. Interest Project Awards
Interest Project Awards are earned by Girl Scout Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors. Girl Scout earned awards are recognized symbols of achievement and excellence. Most Interest Project Award requirements can be found in the Program Handbooks and Resources for Girl Scouts 11-17. Sew-on.
19. From Dreams to Reality Award
This award indicates activities completed in career exploration. Place this award in the same area as the Girl Scout Interest Project awards on the sash. Place it on the left side of the vest with the Interest Project awards.
20. Girl Scout Silver Award
The Girl Scout Silver Award Pin signifies completion of a Silver Award project. (Contact your local Girl Scout council for further information).
21. Career Exploration Pin
This pin indicates completion of an advanced career exploration project. Place this pin below the leadership awards, to the left of the community service bars on the sash or vest. Requirements for earning this award can be found in the Resource Book for Seniors.
22. Girl Scout Senior Troop Assistant Pin
The Girl Scout Senior Troop Assistant Pin for ages 16 and up signifies completion of a Leader-in-Training project, completion of tenth grade, and a full-year commitment of a troop or group. (Contact your local Girl Scout council for further information).
23. Community Service Bars
The Community Service bars stand for completion of training and 25 hours of service. (Contact your local Girl Scout council for further information).
25. Girl Scout Cadette Leadership Pin
Girl Scout Leadership Award for Girls 14-17 (formerly the Girl Scout Cadette Award). This award indicates leadership experiences as a Girl Scout 11-14. Place this award between the Girl Scout Leadership Award for Girls 14-17 and the Girl Scout Junior Leadership Pin. Requirements for earning this award can be found in the Cadette Handbook. Silver.
24. Girl Scout Senior Leadership Pin
Girl Scout Leadership Award for Girls 14-17 (formerly the Girl Scouts Senior Award). This award indicates leadership experiences as a Girl Scout 14-17. Place this award below the Bridge to 11-14 Girl Scouts Award, on the left side of the sash, to the left of the Girl Scout Leadership Award for Girls 11-14. Requirements for earning this award can be found in the Resource Book for Seniors. Gold.
26. Cadette Challenge Pin
This pin signifies completion of a Girl Scout Cadette "challenge." Place this pin below the Bridge to Girl Scouts Ambassador Award on the right side of the sash. Requirements for earning this award can be found in the Cadette Handbook.
27. Senior Challenge Pin
This pin signifies completion of a Girl Scout Senior "challenge." Place this pin below the Bridge to Girl Scouts Ambassador Award, to the left of the Girl Scout Cadette Challenge Pin on the uniform sash or vest. Requirements for earning this award can be found in the Resource Book for Seniors.
28. Bridge to Girl Scout Ambassador Award
Moving from one Girl Scout grade level to another is called bridging. This pin signifies completion, as a Girl Scout Senior, of specified commitment to Girl Scouting.

30. Bridge to Girl Scout Cadette Award
Moving from one Girl Scout grade level to another is called bridging. The Bridging Award is earned by completing a set of activities described in the Girl Scout handbooks. These activities help a girl learn about the next grade level they are entering. Bridge to Girl Scout Cadettes is worn on the Cadette sash or vest directly under the Brownie Wings.
29. Bridge to Girl Scout Senior Award
Moving from one Girl Scout grade level to another is called bridging. The Bridging Award is earned by completing a set of activities described in the Girl Scout handbooks. These activities help a girl learn about the next grade level they are entering. Bridge to Girl Scout Seniors is worn on the Senior sash or vest directly under the Brownie Wings.
31. Brownie Wings
Girl Scout Brownie Wings show that a girl has completed her years as a Girl Scout Brownie. She is ready to "fly up" to Girl Scout Juniors. This is a tradition that goes back to when Girl Scout Brownie leaders were called Brown Owls. The wings are worn on the Junior sash or vest, centered horizontally directly under the Junior Aide Award, or if she does not have that, directly under the Bridge to Junior Award. The Brownie Wings are worn on the vest or sash directly under the Membership Stars and Personalized ID Pin. The Girl Scout Brownie Wings are often given at year-end award ceremonies.
32. Cadette Program Aide Pin
The Girl Scout Cadette Program Aide Pin for Girls 11-14 signifies completion of approximately 10 hours of training in a specific program area. Silver with Burgundy Letters. Place this pin between the membership stars and Girl Scout Brownie Wings on the sash, or on the right side of the vest, to the left of the Apprentice Trainer's Pin. (Contact your local Girl Scout council for further information).
33. Senior Program Aide Pin
The Girl Scout Senior Program Aide Pin for Girls 14-17 signifies completion of approximately 10 hours of training in a specific program area. Yellow with green letters. Place this pin between the membership stars and the Brownie Wings on the right side of the sash or on the right side of the vest. (Contact your local Girl Scout council for further information).
34. Personalized I.D. Pin
The personalized pins are Direct Ship (special order) items and available for purchase through individual Girl Scout councils only.
35. Official Girl Scout Membership Star
Each membership star stands for one year of registration. Place the stars directly beneath the troop/group numerals on the sash or the right side of the vest, beginning with the Girl Scout Daisy star (on BLUE disc) on the right side, then Girl Scout Brownie stars (on GREEN discs), Girl Scout Junior stars (on YELLOW discs), Girl Scout Cadette stars (on WHITE discs), Girl Scout Senior stars (on RED discs) and Girl Scout Ambassador stars (on BLUE discs).
38. Cadette Disc for Membership Star
Each membership star stands for one year of registration. 39. Iron-on Troop Numeral
Official Girl Scout Troop Numerals are purchased per digit and put together to create your full troop number. Girl Scout Troop Numerals are worn by Girl Scout Juniors, Cadettes, Seniors, Ambassadors and Adults. Green Felt. Numbers 0-9. Iron-On.
40. Troop Crests
The Troop Crest is chosen by a Girl Scout troop. The crests are worn by Girl Scout Juniors, Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors. Center the troop crest directly under the council identification strip. Blank crests can be purchased by troops that want to embroider their own designs. (Please contact your Council for the name of a licensed vendor.)
41. Official Girl Scout Iron-on Council Identification Set
The council identification strip set includes your council name and Official Girl Scouts of the USA identification strip. The two are worn together on the front of the Official Girl Scout Junior, Cadette, Senior, and Ambassador vest or sash. The strips are Iron-on for easy application. See individual packaging for specific instructions. To order, please choose your council name from the drop down list.
42.Official American Flag Wavy Design Iron-On Patch
American Flag Patch represents the USA flag in a wavy fabric design. Official and embroidered in red, white and blue. It is an optional patch that can be worn by all Girl Scouts on their vest, sash or tunic. Girl Scout Daisies may wear the flag patch on the right shoulder of the tunic. All others may wear the flag patch above the Girl Scout Council ID set on the sash or vest.
43. Safety Award Pin
The Safety Award Pin signifies work done in safety education. (Contact your local Girl Scout council for further information).
44. Official Patrol Leader's Cord
This emblem designates a leadership position in the troop or group and is worn only when holding that position. Make the cord circle the left arm, and pin it at the shoulder seam of the uniform blouse or turtleneck.
45. Girl Scout Traditional Membership Pin
This pin, worn by Girl Scout Juniors, Cadettes, Seniors, Ambassadors and Adults, signifies fulfillment of membership requirements. A Girl Scout can choose between this or the Contemporary Membership Pin (09002). It is worn on the Insignia Tab on the left side of the uniform, centered above the heart. Safety Catch Pin.
46. Ten Year Award
The award replaces a 10-year pin guard. It represents 10 years of registered membership as a girl member. Membership need not be continuous. Position this pin to the right of the Girl Scout Membership Pin.
47. Participation Patches and Pins
Place participation patches and pins on the back of the sash or vest, beginning at the top, below the shoulder line. These patches and pins may be from camp, special events, or programs such as GirlSports or Issues for Girl Scouts. Patches/pins earned at an earlier grade-level can be placed on the back of the sash, but it is not recommended, as you will soon run out of space!
48. Bronze Award Pin
As a Girl Scout Cadette/Senior/ Ambassador, if you have earned the Girl Scout Silver and/or Gold Awards, the Girl Scout Bronze Award should be moved to the line reserved for religious and other awards, underneath the official Girl Scout personal ID pin. The Girl Scout Bronze Award is the highest award a Girl Scout Junior can earn.
49. STUDIO 2B Charms
Girl Scout Cadettes/Seniors/Ambassadors may choose to display their awards, including STUDIO 2B components, on sashes or vests with the official uniform. When wearing the Girl Scout uniform, girls can choose to wear their earned charms on the STUDIO 2B Charm Bracelet or to pin them on the front of the sash or vest with other earned insignia via the charm holder. The STUDIO 2B Pin/Pendant can be worn on the sash or vest next to the last membership star earned or as a pendant around the neck.
If girls don't choose to wear a uniform, they can choose to wear their earned charms on the STUDIO 2B charm bracelet or the STUDIO 2B Charm Holder. The Girl Scout Membership Pin (and the WAGGGS Pin) is always appropriate to wear on clothing over the heart on the left side "to be official." The STUDIO 2B Pin can be worn on the right side, opposite the Girl Scout Membership Pin.
50. Religious Awards and Other Awards
Wear these awards in a single horizontal row on the right side of the uniform blouse, level with the Girl Scout Membership Pin, or on the insignia sash in the area below the membership stars or troop numerals and above the next insignia already on the sash.
Note: Wear only three such awards at a time to avoid a cluttered shirt or uniform. Choose to wear those that are most meaningful to you.
Such special awards might include:
- Girl Scout Bronze Award
- International Friendship Recognition Pin (earned as a Girl Scout in USA Girl Scouts Overseas). Note: Although this pin can be earned in more than one country, a girl wears only one pin.
- Juliette Low World Friendship Pin (given to any girl or adult who has participated in an international opportunity funded by the Juliette Low World Friendship Fund)
- Lifesaving awards
- Macy Pin (given to those who participate in a learning event at Girl Scouts of the USA's Edith Macy Conference Center)
- Pins designating attendance at World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts centers and national or international events
- The President's Volunteer Service Award
- Religious awards
- Safety Award for Girls 11-17
