New York, N.Y. — In October, 2010, Girl Scouts of the USA, consistent with sound business practices, issued a request for proposals for the production of Girl Scout uniforms. After assessing the proposals submitted by eight manufacturers, Girl Scouts has chosen two manufacturers to whom the business will be awarded.

These manufacturers offered the best combination of price, service and quality. As a result, Jackie Evans and New York Welltex LLC will share production of Girl Scout uniforms. All production will take place within the US.

Girl Scouts of the USA thanks all parties that responded to our request, and we congratulate Jackie Evans and New York Welltex, LLC. While Girl Scouts will continue to follow good business practices and reevaluate our business at regular intervals, we look forward to a successful business relationship with both parties.
