Environmental Service Program

Explore Ecuador and the famous Galapagos Islands while participating in a valuable service project on the island of Santa Cruz.

Picture It

You and 13 other Girl Scouts will make a difference by helping plant native trees in the highlands with the local conservation organization. Learn about ecotourism and conservation in this fragile archipelago. Enjoy snorkeling and boat trips to see amazing wildlife that has no fear of humans. Interact and work side by side with Quito Girl Guides on the Ecuadorian mainland.

Stay in comfortable hotels while in Quito and Puerto Ayora, on the island of Santa Cruz. Two full days of service work and community interaction, followed by day trips by boat to neighboring islands and remote beaches. Swim with sea lions and make sure to walk around the blue-footed boobies in your path. Don't miss out on this opportunity of a lifetime!

    Get It

  • A packing list will be sent to you upon registration
  • US (or other county) passport required

     

  • $ It

    A $350 deposit will be due immediately upon acceptance to the event.  It is part of the event fee, not in addition to it.

    Beverages with meals consist of teas, juices, and/or tap water (all bottled water is extra).  You will be responsible for your own round-trip airfare from your home city to Miami, Florida.

    Air Reservations: Holbrook can assist with booking your flight to Miami.Contact Wendy Frazier @ wendy@holbrooktravel.com Arrival needs to be on 7/25 before 5:00 p.m. and departure after 7:00 a.m. on 8/3.

    Land cost includes: Mandatory travel/trip cancellation insurance, all accommodations, transportation, expert local guides with excursions, activities, and all meals except on 7/25 (only dinner included this day), 7/26 (lunch not included, dinner on plane), and 8/3 (breakfast on plane).
