History Conference 2013
The Girl Scout National Historic Preservation Center offers annual archival training via the History Conference to educate volunteers and council staff on archival best practices. This training includes models and tools to help councils maintain their historic collections. Further, the History Conference grants "history volunteers" nationwide the opportunity to exchange ideas and collaborate on projects.
Who Should Attend?
We encourage Girl Scout volunteers and council staff and Girl Scouts in high school (by special permission) who are interested in preserving and promoting the Girl Scout legacy to attend the conference. Volunteers, historians and history enthusiasts, and Girl Scout executives and marketing and communications staff have attended past History Conferences. Participation is also appropriate for program and fund development staff, especially those who support Girl Scout history volunteers or use archival assets in their work.
Councils are encouraged to register any and all interested volunteers/staff, and individuals may also register.
