Alumnae Story
No Longer an Only Child

I was an only child and hated it. So my mother started a Brownie troop so I could have "sisters." We out grew Brownies, so she started an intermediate troop so I could continue to enjoy my "sisters." Then a troop leader abandoned her troop and my mother took over that one too. Eventually she consolidated troops 46 and 21 through attrition.

It was an eye-opening experience to pitch tents and dig latrines plus learn to cook chili boo and tuna wiggle on an open fire made of wax coated card board stuffed in empty tuna cans. The friendships made and the resourcefulness learned have lasted a lifetime.
