Alumnae Story
Girl Scouts Teach Great Things

I have a 12 year old niece who has been in Girl Scouts for about six years now. I have always gone to her troop meetings with her to walk her home, and while she was having fun with the other Girl Scouts I would help her troop leader get ready for what they where going to do that day. Well I have a learning disability, and other disabilities, so I am not always so fast to learn stuff and most of the time kids and other adults tend to make fun of me. But not the Girl Scouts, in fact they made me an honorary Girl Scout. They always showed me the same respect they showed their troop leader and they have never made me feel bad because I am different. So Girl Scouts, thank you for teaching the younger generation of girls to treat everyone the same.
