Alumnae Story
Camp Crafts

I have the best Girl Scout memories. I used to be the top seller in my troop and I am still friends with a couple of girls to this day. We had a great leader and co-leader, our leader's name was Kathy and her daughter was in my fifth grade class. We had a lot of fun. I remember going to camp and I remember all the things we did. I still have some of the things we made, and I remember that we went to camp in the motor home. We also learned to crochet and made curly Q's for our hair. I cut and stuffed a toy cat and frog and I still have those. My babies played with them when they were little.

At camp we tie-died shirts and we made leather tie holders, and bird feeders. We slept in regular tents at Camp Bonneville, that was many years ago in the 70's. It was the best time of my life. I really enjoyed the campfires and the songs which I still remember today. I learned to sew and it became a passion. I love the crafts and the nature walks. I loved everything about it and still do today, even more I think. I really love being a Girl Scout and I LOVE being a Girl Scout leader. Thank you for making my life complete!
